PreText +

PreText/AftText is content that you wish to display that will display differently than the core page content. This might include the width, background color, text color and links. You might want it to display like a banner but without adding a banner/box and assigning it to the page.

This will display above the introtext if populated and enabled.

aft text

One - two sentences summarizing the page (displays as search engine snippet)
This will display as article lead text with a link to Read more where we have that enabled.

Selecting 'Yes' to enable the carousel means that you will be able to display a carousel rotating several images directly below the banner with some themes. In order for this to work you will need to upload the additional images (2,3,4) up to four total at the bottom of this page.

If you don't have a carousel enabled:
1) Select Yes to display the below background image on this page.
2) On pages where no background image is set, select Yes to display one assigned to any page.

Format the controls like this: heights in pixels; duration in milliseconds; image slice if too large (horizontal vertical)
height|small-device-height|duration|slice position (h v)|translucency

Valid: 600px|360px|7000|50% 30%|0
Valid: 600px|360px|7000|50% 44%|.5 (0-1, 1=opaque)

Note: Only works if carousel images enabledi; sample styling:

.carousel-callout div {
text-align: center;
padding: 15px !important;
font-size: 100%;
background: black;
background: rgba(0,0,0,.5); /* translucency */
color: white;
width: 280px; /* block width */
margin-left: 10%;
margin-right: auto; /* to align from right comment out margin-left */
}

This block contains master CSS styling for the call to action text block only. If you have the carousel enabled and need to restyle textblocks per image do that in the CSS assigned to each image.

The overlay as used here is a block similar to call to action but designed to overlay on top of your banner image centered and with translucency if you wish. It can be full or partial width and orient from the top or bottom of the image.

Use the guideline here which defines the parameters for the overlay display. There are 8 columns separated by the pipe (|) character.

Column 1: orients from: top or bottom
Column 2: pixels or % from top or bottom (above)
Column 3: padding within overlay
Column 4: margin
Column 5: translucency (0, .1, .2 ... 1.0)
Column 6: box width (typically %)
Column 7: left position (typically %)
Column 8: right position (also %)
Valid: bottom|30%|10px|10px|.5|60%|30%|10%

If only one banner image is uploaded and published it will display statically. To make it work as a carousel upload and publish additional images.

Note that you can individually customize the display properties including overlay text and callout (call to action) per image or let them all use the same styling defined with the article, above.
